A few years ago I was browsing in a second-hand bookshop when I came across a book with a title that still makes me think. I confess I didn’t buy the book, and haven’t read it, so I don’t know if I am misjudging it and its author; but the title sums up a particular attitude shared by many people, including many Christians, today.
